FEBRUARY 14, 2009.  The next one-day retreat for Zen Vajara Heart will be held on February 14, 2010 at Sukhasiddhi Foundation in San Rafael, CA.  This will be the first of two teachings on the Heart Sutra from both the Zen and Mahamudra points of view.  The Heart Sutra is a core text of both traditions, and sets out the essential teachings of emptiness / compassion as the basis for awakened life.  The retreat will include Mahamudra practices to begin the awareness and embodiment of emptiness, as well as unpublished teachings of Suzuki Roshi on the inseparable union of form and emptiness. Saturday, April 10, 2010.  One-day retreat.  This will be the second of two one-day teachings based on the emptiness / compassion teachings of the Heart Sutra.  

Saturday, June 5, 2010.   This one day retreat will use a passage from the Vimalakirti Sutra on the emergence of the Great Love from the realization of the empty nature of beings.
